Penn-Plax Cascade 170 Internal Filter - for Freshwater Aquariums and Terrariums

Penn-Plax introduces the Cascade 170 Submersible Filter, designed to quietly deliver crystal clear water throughout your aquarium. This filter is suitable for tanks up to 10 gallons in size, cycling water at 45 gallons per hour (GPH). It is ideal for Freshwater and Nano aquariums, as well as various Terrarium setups.

The adjustable flow switch allows for easy control of water flow, making it convenient during feeding times or whenever necessary. The directional flow nozzle further enhances tank customization and convenience. With 4 suction cups, the filter can be mounted vertically or horizontally, offering flexibility in placement.

Fully submersible, the Cascade 170 is equipped with a small, internal Bio-Sponge that promotes colonization of anaerobic bacteria and provides mechanical filtration to trap large particulate matter. While accessing the Bio-Sponge can be a bit tricky, the internal media chamber can be customized with other filter media to meet the specific needs of your tank.

Featuring Venturi Aeration, the Cascade 170 provides filtered, oxygenated water to your tank, eliminating the need for an air pump. By combining both functions, this filter simplifies the process. It is important to fully submerge and fill the filter with water before turning it on.

With measurements of 3.25” (L) x 1.5” (W) x 1.5” (D), the Cascade 170 Submersible Filter is small yet powerful, ensuring quiet and efficient operation in your aquarium.
